Why are four prong finger used? What injuries can they help with?

Four prong finger splints provide total immobilisation of the finger to avoid further injury and to allow for healing. They are ideal for mallet/baseball finger, sprained fingers, stable finger fractures and volar plate injuries. 

What are they made out of?

The splint has a foam inner lining so it is comfortable to wear and the aluminium coating provides structure, and means the splint can be adjusted to best suit the user.
